What I Know Now At 21 Weeks...

Now that Christmas and New Years are over.. I have NOTHING except BABY to think about for the next 4 months!! I hope that doesn't make time go by slower! I am ready to meet my little girl. For the next couple months, I really want to focus on doing some fun things with Jesse and really spending some quality time with him.. not just rushing from store to store shopping for baby things.. :)

So for week 21 the only things I have noticed that are different are..

-My "inny" button is starting to become an "outy" hehe

-Maelee moves constantly! I don't know what in the world she is doing in there! Apparently they are supposed to sleep in there for 12-14 hours a day! She must sleep like Jesse--- ALL over the place!!

-At our last doctor's appoint he said everything is looking great and she is right on track with my due date. He approximates her weight to be 7 lbs 3 oz.. I think that's the weight he said. Um..ya.. that's big.. I am freaking out!

-I hate to say it and kinda feel bad.. but I am not in love with having a baby belly.

-She has the cutest little feet :) We saw one on the ultrasound.. so sweet!

-This week she is as big as a spaghetti squash!! approx 8 in, 1 pound.. OMG! I think I read in my book that I'm supposed to start gaining 1 lb per week.. When I went to my last appoint I didn't gain any weight that month.. not sure how that's possible?

-We bought our crib and dresser/changing table this week and set it up!! They are beautiful! I can't wait to get everything else!

Things I'm looking forward to in January:

-At my next doctor's appoint we have our targeted ultrasound.. so we get to see her in detail.. and they check for other important stuff too.. I'm just excited to see her!

Things I'm dreading in January:

-Glucose Test- I am DREADING having to drink that nasty drink.. I see it every day in my fridge and gag to myself.. Maybe it's not as bad as they say right?? :(

-Getting my blood drawn AGAIN.. I hope I get the same lady I did the first time.. SHE WAS AMAZING!
For those of you that know me well.. knows that I HATE needles.. I never get my flu shot or any shots for that matter..I avoid them as much as possible! I want to cry just thinking about it :( I know. I know. You're going to tell me to "just you wait" right?! Ya, I know.. Don't remind me!

I am not sure how your inny is an outy. You are so tiny and cute. I look like a hippo compared to you. haha. You may need to get used to needles darling. That first year Maelee is going to be poked and prodded a lot. Also it is a good idea for both parents and baby to get the flu shot. And if you are scared of needles do not, I repeat do not look at the epidural needle. It may hurt for a sec. but boy does it make delivery heaven. I was in labor for half the time without it and it was horrible. Once that medicine kicked it it was enjoyable, honestly. I can't wait to meet your little gal. Then I will be closer to meeting my own little Bodee Bear.

Hey if you don't want to drink the nasty glucose drink, ask your doc if you can drink a regular coke and eat a candy bar. That is what I did with all mine not such a big deal. I don't know how your inny could turn to on outy your are tiny.

Amanda! I didn't even know you were pregnant! Yeah, I've just fallen off the face of the earth with blogging and keeping up with everyone... You look so adorable! But I'm not surprised I guess! But seriously, how is it possible you are still that tiny at 21 weeks? This is one time in your life that it is ok to gain weight - so eat up! Lol. You really look so cute and I'm excited for you, congrats!!

And ps - I accidentally clicked delete instead of publish on your comment on my blog. I'm trying to figure out how to re-publish it and hopefully will soon! Haha! Sorry :) ...ok I think I've caught myself up on no blogging activity with just this one novel of a comment!

oh my. all i have to say is palease! you are tiny!!! you call that a bump? I call that my pooch! Only my pooch is bigger than your baby :) ha ha I'm sure you are sick of people telling you that because I'm sure you have noticed a difference in your body, but really, you look great :) Sorry about the needles and nasty drink. My sister is a "high risk" pregnancy and unfortunately also has an intense fear of needles. Her hubby has to give her daily or weekly (can't remember which) and she has some monthly shots too I believe. Shots are no fun, but just think, you'll have a healthy, strong baby in the end!
