35 week checkup at the doctor was not exactly a fun one. He starts checking for dilation and effacement now and let's just say, OUCH! I'm still right on schedule. I am 1/2 centimeter dilated so we still have a ways to go. Maelee had a GROWTH SPURT this week. Last week at my appoint she weighed 5.5 lbs, at my appoint this week she weighed 6.5 lbs!! Usually they only grow about a 1/2 lb a week, but not my baby!! He says it's unlikely that she will do that again.. I knew that she grew a lot that week.. I could feel my belly stretching and stretching and felt like I gained about 20 lbs in one week.. Not the most comfortable thing. She as also been dropping which causes some shooting pain down low and all I can say is that it is very painful. They are starting to happen more frequently, which I guess is a good thing because that means she is doing what she is supposed to! The doctor says that at this point my due date is still right on, but it is possible that he can start me one week early depending on how things progress in the next couple weeks! So in 3 or 4 weeks I could have my baby!!!!

36 weeks with a 6.5 lb baby! Whew! I was looking at my 30 week belly picture, I cannot believe how much you can grow in just six weeks...Just when you think you can't get any bigger..... YOU DO!!!

My work through me a little baby shower this week. It was lots of fun! We went to the new mexican restaurant in North Ogden, El Durango. I thought it was very good! I didn't take any pictures while we were there but I got lots of cute stuff!
It was also my baby shower with Jesse's family. It was lots of fun!!

I too think getting checked is a bit painful. I swear they could be a tad gentler. My eyes teared up the first time. I am so happy Maelee is growing like a weed and will be here so very soon. Looks like you got a lot of darling things. Now where are the completed nursery pictures?
