4 Months Old

Time is FLYING here at the Felter household! Can't believe our little peanut is 4 months old and is HUGE!

- She be rolling!! This girl can move! From front to back AND back to front

-She tries to do sit up by herself, I don't think it will be long before she can do it on her own

-She now sucks on her bottom lip, it's so cute

- She found her toes and now loves to play with them every second she can

- She acts like me but is a daddy's girl

- We have now moved up into size 2 diapers

- She loves to play with her rattle and things that easy for her to hold onto and put in her mouth

- She eats 6oz every 3-4 hours

- Her favorite way to lay is on her side and she loves to take naps with mommy and daddy

- I taught her how to sigh... and now every time she wakes up she just sighs over and over again! Soooo cute!

- Maelee has become quite the chunky butt. Between that and her drooling issue we were having some problems keeping her neck rolls dry.. We took her to the doctor because her neck looked really really bad and I thought it may have been infected. It wasn't infected and he told us to just use hydrocortisone cream 1% and if that didn't work he gave us some prescriptions for some stronger things, but, the cream worked great and we didn't even have to fill the prescriptions ! We still put it on her neck twice a day, and she also has a little eczema on her belly we put it on and we love it!

-She moves all over the place, I sometimes have no idea how she got there..

- She loves to sit and stand up and loves to tap and stomp her feet :)

- I think she is going to be shy.. she is so animated at home and talks so much, but gets really quite around other people

-One thing we have been very VERY lucky with is her sleep schedule. She is such a good sleeper and has been sleeping all through the night since she was 7 weeks old. BUT. For the past 5 nights, she has decided that she likes to wake up at 5am because she wants her binky. So I would just go in and give it to her, then right when I would get all situated in bed, she would throw a little tantrum again because her bink fell out. So, I decided that this was not going to happen and I wasn't going to let her do this. So we decided to do the Ferberizing Method, where you let them cry for 3 min, then 5 min, then 10 min. Let me tell you at 5am that cry is LOUD and 10 minutes lasts an eternity, but it worked and is worth it for the few days while they are learning. It actually only took her one night!

- Her new thing to get attention is fake coughing, sooo dramatic, in fact she is doing right now

- She likes to hold her own bottles and feed herself

-She LOVES to look at herself in the mirror and gets a big old grin on her face every time

she is so cute Amanda!! (I know I tell you that all the time, but a mommy can never hear it too much haha) I am glad I am not the only mom that does the Ferberizing method!! People (mostly family) tell me I am mean when I just let her cry but it really does work :) I love reading your blog and hearing about Maelees personality. Jesse is going to have a ruff time keeping the boys away, thats for sure lol

Oh Amanda, she's gorgeous! I am looking forward to meeting her in December. She may just have to come home with me in my suit case.
