15 Months Old

It's been a few months since an update about Maelee!! I decided that after 12 months I wouldn't do monthly updates-- I guess they had to end at some point, so every so often I will do them.  I feel like there are so many things I want to remember that she is doing at each month mark but wayyyyy too many to write down. So this might be kind of a long post.

 If there is one good word to describe my bug it would be T-R-O-U-B-L-E! I think my one year old is really TWO years old and is in her terrible twos.. She is into everything all day. Everything that she is not supposed to touch or get into is exactly what she wants to play with all day. She also already throws tantrum-- like full on, stomp her feet and whine trantrums. YEP! She can open doors already too and moves the baby gate at the top of the stairs. So she is trouble. I guess Jesse was the same way when he was a baby.

She says "what's that" in a whisper or "who's that" when she hears noises

When she gets hurt she says "ow" and then will say "boo boo" and point to her owie

She can open doors

She pretty much repeats any word that you will say in a one syllable form. She is already so good at communicating, I never have to guess what she wants because she just tells me.

She has been able to climb up the stairs for a long long time a few months ago she figured out to go down them.. We had a little scare the other day when she was going down the stairs, she decided to take a break and sit on the stair sideways and ended up rolling down a few stairs. She didn't get hurt at all, but it scared her and mommy to death!

I feel like she has been walking for forever, she really doesn't walk anywhere anymore she RUNS!

She likes to do ring a round the rosies and gets a big smile on when you start singing it and starts spinning in circles

She does the itsy bitsy spider, the rain is her favorite part

When you count to three she knows that three comes after two

When you ask her how old she is she will say "tree"

Some of the words she says are: cracker, peek-a-boo,"nack" for snack, "side" for outside,  she says hi to everything: "hi dadda, hi momma, hi bird, hi tree, hi flower, hi to EVERYTHING she knows the word to. She says "hello" "uh-oh", "all gone" "cheese" "pool" "bite"
"light" and points to the light, "sky" and points to the sky,when she hears a plane she will say plane, and the same thing with cars, she says "okay"

She also knows some animal noises: puppy, kitty, bear, chicken, cow, horse, bird, snake,

She knows where everything on her face is and loves to show you

She loves to play hide and seek. She will hide and then call your name over and over again until you come close and then she gets really quite until you find her, she thinks it is pretty funny

When we go grocery shopping she has to say HI to EVERYONE! She keeps saying: hi, hi, hi, until they say hi back to her. She isn't quite about it either. Once they say hi, then she has to say bye. She basically yells at them until they respond.

Remember how I have always bragged about what a good eater Maelee is? I can't say that anymore. She will always eat.. but will only eat a little bit. But she loves her milk and can drink a ton of it!

Maelee's schedule is still pretty much the same as it has been for a while

Wake up at 9am

Eat breakfeast

Get in the bath and get ready for the day

Nap at 11:30am

Wake at 1:00pm

Eat lunch

Play

Nap at 3:30pm

Wake at 5:00pm

Eat dinner

Bed time at 8:30pm

Maelee is wearing size 12 month clothes, size 4 shoes, and size 3 diapers

She still is a really great sleeper at night. She wakes up sometimes when she can't find her binky or is cold but always goes right back to sleep, no problem.

She loves all things girly: shoes, phones, she loves to have tea parties, and loves to draw

Life could not be any better then it is now with our sweet girl. We love you so much stinker!
