Every Day Life...

Thought I would update since it's been like two months. The truth is life has been so busy these past few months just with normal life stuff.
I was looking through my phone at all my pictures of my sweet girl. Pictures of things she does that I want to remember throughout our days together. It's hard not to look through them without a big old smile on my face!  I am so blessed to be her mommy. Thinking that I only have a few months left with just the two of us makes me kind of sad. It's been me and Mae for almost three years. I sort of almost feel guilty that I am going to have to share myself with another baby and I get sad. Don't get me wrong. I am BEYOND excited to be adding another sweet baby to our family but I think I will really miss my days hanging out with just my girl. I wonder if I am the only one out there that has had this feeling?!
I love being a stay at home mommy, and I feel extra lucky that I get to call Maelee my own. She is a very special girl, and I just love her more then anything. I asked Jesse to do a mommy and me photo shoot with me and Mae so look for those pictures in the next couple weeks.

So here is a peak into our every day lives.. Most of the pictures are from my iPhone, most of them have been edited using instagram, not every day is glamorous or easy, but it's our life and I'm pretty sure it's the best.

Mae's second dentist visit.
She isn't a big fan of the dentist. In fact, the only way he can look in her mouth is when she cries but it works! I was proud of her this time.. she actually talked to the doctor… She got a coin and got to buy a treat. I think she will just get better every time.

This day we had to go get the oil changed and some work done on my car. We were there for over an hour and she sat on my lap the whole time and was so good. She really wanted to get down and play with the toys but I wasn't going to risk her getting sick! She did so good I took her to kneaders. Is it summer yet? We are ready to come out of hibernation!
Big girl in a little baby stroller
Even though it was freezing outside she had been asking for days to feed the ducks! So we went and she loved it. She talked to the ducks and wanted to make sure they all had bread.
Play-doh days are some of her favorite days! She can sit for hours and stay busy.
This is what her hair looks like when we let it air dry… Which is most days if we aren't going anywhere. It's curly, she's cute.
Sleepy girl watching her iPad before nap time
Saturdays with dad and their horsey rides..
We finally visited Scheels. We went down for my dad's birthday and celebrated there. Maelee of course loved it. She is quite the shopper and there are lots of places to shop and run around there.
This picture was at the very top of the ferris wheel at Scheels!

I love this picture because I feel like it totally sums up my girl. I was taking pictures of the girls for Alyx and this is pretty much how Maelee felt about it. She is so silly!!
Oh, and how cute are these bracelets?! Check out Londyns Treasures on Facebook to order yours, Alyx makes and sells them. They are super cute!

"Mommy, I'm going to school.. Take my picture and show me!"
Okay.. Yes.. You caught me.. I pretended to sleep and took this picture, I was laying there watching her sleep and thought to myself how sad I would be when there wouldn't be nap time anymore. I really really wanted to document my naps with her. Ever since I got pregnant and the sickness and tiredness kicked in I took a nap every day with her. Then my second trimester came and I felt good and didn't feel like I HAD to take a nap and some days when I still did take one I felt guilty and lazy like there was a million other things I needed to be doing. But I came to really love this time of day.. Not just because it meant some extra rest.. but the time I got to bond with her just face to face before she falls asleep. She is pretty hilarious right before she falls asleep and she is just the sweetest. I love hearing her stories and I love watching her unwind before she finally lays down to fall asleep. I wouldn't trade these moments for ANYTHING. Any chance I get now I lay down and nap with her. I want these moments to last forever.
As I am getting ready one morning, she walks in dressed in this and says to me, "Mommy, which way is it to the beach?!"

 Rough nap??
Oh you know.. Just sitting on my potty, doing my thing, watching octanauts with my balloons.
Watching for daddy to get home for lunch!

Finally!! A warmish day with sunshine! After we finished our breakfast we knew we just had to get out of the house and enjoy it while it lasted. We hurried and got dressed and drove to the park. We spent all morning there and didn't leave until after one. It was amazing. We had the park to ourselves for an hour or so and then some other kids came and she was SO excited. I loved sitting there watching her play and interact with the other kids. Every kid that came she would introduce herself, "HI! My name is Maelee! What's your name?!" I was so proud. She is so friendly to everyone and included everyone there. She made a little friend right away and they pretty much stuck together.. holding hands and going everywhere together. There was another little girl there playing by herself.. Mae would keep asking her to come play with them and would take her hand and bring her over with them.
It melted me. She was so funny just playing with her little friends being loud and silly and singing songs as she ran around at the top of her lungs.
Daddy brought us lunch and finally we went home for a much needed nap!

After dancing on the toilet so she could see herself in the mirror she took a step backwards and fell off and hit her mouth and got a big old fat lip. She wouldn't put ice on it and didn't want to eat lunch so off to Wendy's we went for a cold frosty for lunch. It made everything better!

Sometimes daddy naps with Mae too.
Just had to share my new office space. We had a big old desk in the baby room that needed to go, so we sold all of that and got a little desk to put in our bedroom. I love it.
Life as a stay at home mommy is the best.
Some days it's rough. Like really rough. I feel like I'm at my wits end and that all my patience is run out and then the next minute she does something amazing and sweet and it makes it all worth it. Some days  mid morning hits and I am asking myself if it's bedtime yet… And then bedtime comes and she says her sweet prayers and I just die and think that I must be doing something right.
Most days are easy. She is easy and makes life so much fun. I mean.. What did I ever do before her?
I love my little buggy.

So that has been life according to my iPhone lately. We have been extra busy getting ready for Spring and Felter Landscaping to start again… Planning and preparations with that pretty much take any extra time that we have.. add getting ready to have another baby to that and taking care of a crazy two year old and all that comes it and time is flying by! Before we know it the baby will be here!

We are so excited for this upcoming week. First, Ryan and Amee and the boys are coming for a visit and we cannot wait to spend some time with them. Then, I am hosting a baby shower for my sister.. and then we will celebrate Graeson's birthday! Later in the month Nick and David are coming for a visit and then before we know it Hollie's little baby will be here!
Such a fun time!!
