Before I quit my dental assisting job and had Maelee, I was SO worried that I would get so bored staying at home and thought for sure that I would need to get a part time job so that I could keep myself busy...Well I just laugh at myself now for ever thinking that.
I absoultely love being a stay at home mommy and feel so greatful that I am able to do this for my family. We have Jesse to thank for this. He is such a hard worker and is a great provider for our family. He works all day long and then comes home and does his editing or is out and about shooting a video. Check out liquidvisionfilms.com if you ever need an event video, he is so amazing and talented at what he does. He also has a facebook page for his business, he posts more on his facebook page then on his website so I'd look there, and while your at it like liquidvisionfilms on facebook!! :)
Anyway, so I thought I would get bored. Well that is not the case at all, in fact if I get any down time I'm lucky. I am not complaining at all because I love to be busy and my days just fly on by. So here is my day.

Then it starts all over again.. And this is not including any extra stuff like running errands or what not.. Life is busy and I am loving it!!
Her feeding times vary a little bit sometimes we go 3 hours in between, but I am pretty consistent on her times. Does anyone know when they stop eating every two to three hours?? I have been reading "Baby Wise" and "Healthy Sleeping Habits" and I can't find the answer to my question. I did read that at 7 weeks you can let them sleep through the night!! Which she has already done a few times because I have slept through my alarm!! Oops! She is such a good sleeper!!
So two weeks ago I saw my doctor because it was my one month check up after having Maelee and also because my incision was very infected. At that appoint he said that the infections was very large. His doctor's orders were if I wasn't nursing or feeding then I need to be soaking in a hot tub and if I wasn't in the tub I needed to have a heating pad on. Do you know how hard this is with a newborn baby, and for two whole weeks?! It's hard. He also put me on a strong antibiotic that I finally finish today and I am so excited about it. I haven't been able to go tanning like I have wanted to because you can't while your taking that medicine. I go to see my doctor again on Friday so he can check on me and make sure I'm okay. My iron was also low so he told me that I need to eat better and start working on that iron.. So I have been eating a ton of cereal that has lots of iron in it!

I have basically switched completely over to bottle feeding Maelee so I am pumping quite a bit during the day. Neither of us are very good at the whole nursing thing. We both just get frustrated, it's not like we just gave up after one or two tries... We have been trying and still try to do it but it just never works out, Maelee gets onery and so does mommy. We are so much happier at home with the bottle feeding, PLUS she is still getting all of the great benefits of breastmilk! :) It is a lot of work to pump all of the time but sooo worth it to me.. call me crazy?! Maybe. But I am so much happier about it.
Also I just have to give a shout out to my cousin Jessica, because she is raising 3 triplet newborn babies and a little boy. How she does it I will never know, but I want her to know I think she is amazing!! She posted this on her facebook the other day and I loved it and had to steal it to share with you! Sooooo true!!
Stay at Home Mom's

A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in their pajamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all around the front yard. The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded against one wall. In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a Cartoon channel, and the family room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing. In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was spread by the back door. He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of clothes, looking for his wife. He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened. He was met with a small trickle of water as it made its way out the bathroom door. As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste had been smeared over the mirror and walls. As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in her pajamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how his day went. He looked at her bewildered and asked, 'What happened here today?' She again smiled and answered, 'You know every day when you come home from work and you ask me what in the world do I do all day?' 'Yes,' was his incredulous reply. She answered, 'Well, today I didn't do it.

I love this post :) I just love hearing new mommy's and how happy they are because it makes me remember those sweet times with Kinsey! It only gets better.. I PROMISE! If i can remember right, Kinsey started eating every 3 to 3.5 hours when she was 2-3 months old. I think it has to do a lot with her weight as well so I would ask her dr if you are still wondering! And your little story at the end of this post.. well i almost started crying because it is so true! We moms work so hard and sometimes it goes un-noticed (not on purpose). I have worked on a set schedule since the day we brought Kinsey home and it really does pay off because you always know what to expect..
Kudos to you on pumping so much, and lucky you that she will take a bottle. We still can't get Ava to take one, so there is no rest for me yet. I am glad you are feeling better, and that things are going good.
