TWO YEARS

I feel like it was just yesterday that I was writing her one year old post.. and now here I am writing this post! Two years old!! I can't believe it. This past year has been so incredible. I have loved every minute watching my sweet girl.. She amazes me in every single way. To say I am one blessed momma would be an understatement. I can't actually put into words just how feel, it's cheesy, but sometimes I just feel like my heart might explode from all of this love I have for my daughter. Every day, even when she is trying my patience, I find several more things to love about her. She is simply amazing. What I did to deserve such a blessing is beyond me, most days I don't feel good enough to be her mom, but I am so glad she is all mine, and I will work every day to make myself better for her. She deserves it. SO happy happy birthday to my bug.

It was a little hard for me to write this post because if I made a list of everything she is learning and saying every day, the list would be never ending. I have been keeping track of a few things here and there for the past few months...

At
21 months she was saying:

"I don't like it." -She would say this if you gave her a food she didn't want or.. well.. if she didn't like it!

"You comin?" - I love this one. Whenever you would be walking next to her or behind her she would
say this..

"Whatcha doin?" -One thing I love about Maelee is she is so caring and interested in what you are doing. She will get right in your face and ask you, "whatca doing?"

I lub ya

Says please and thank you or "sanks" to everything. She will say "sank you momma" or whoever she is talking to.

She loves to watch you tube videos: some of her favorite are: mickey mouse clubhouse, barney, and the mother goose club.

She can sing the entire Twinkle twinkle little star song, word for word.

At 22 months:

Sings barney's "I love you" song but instead says "I LOVE ME"

She is bossy

She yells come here NANA or PAPA! In a very bossy way!
or
"Let's go!"

Hey people's what's going on?

Pee Ew... I need a bath tub!

At 24 months

She is the seat belt police. Every time we get in the car she asks everybody if their seat belt is on.
"Momma got ya seat belt on??" "Dadda got ya seat belt on??"

She really can say everything and talks in complete sentences.

Says, 1-2 buckle shoes, 3-4 open the door, 5-6 pickin up sticks, 7-8 lay them straight, 9-10 do it again

She likes to pretend to sleep and does a fake snore

She also has a funny fake sneeze, uh uh uh uh uh uh -CHOO

She hates to brush her teeth

She loves to go shopping but doesn't like to sit in her stroller when we go.. she likes to walk so it makes it almost impossible to go shopping by myself

When we ride in the car if the music is playing really quietly she makes sure to tell us to "Turn it up!!" And then she will say, "Oh I like this song!"

She is very dramatic and talks with her hands and gets right in your face to tell you what's up!

Every time you get off the phone with someone she will say "who was that?" A bad, very noisy habit, she got from me.
She loves to pretend to talk on the phone and carries on these big conversations saying who knows what and then at the end she will yell, "K, BYE!"

When we are driving and are getting close to being home she will say "We're almost home!" And when we go to grammy's house when we are almost there she says "almost to grammy's house!"

When you ask her how old she is she says "FIVE" every single time.

During the day when we are home alone, I will ask her "Where's dada?" Reply- At work, pulling the trailer. Where's Papa? "At work, pulling the trailer." Where's Nana? "At work, brushing the teeth."

Lately, we don't see a lot of dadda, all day long she will ask me "How's Jesse?" She also likes to ask random strangers this question. We will be at the grocery store or just out and about and someone will talk to her and she asks them, "How's Jesse?"

She loves to paint "colors" (nail polish) with Nana and Aunt Alyx.

She is an outside girl through and through and would live out there if we let her.

She loves to drive cars, and will sit in the driver's seat and sing "Move on back, move on back, move on back!!" "Don't forget to put your seat belt on!!"

The list really goes on and on.. I wish I could list everything so I never forget the fun things that she says!!

2 Year Old Stats..

Height: 35.6 in... 89%
Weight: 25 lbs 14.5 oz... 57%
Head: 49.5 cm... 95%
Everything went good and the doctor and her stats looks really good. Maelee has always had very sensitive skin and has had a rash for a couple weeks.. We found out that the doctor is sure it is seasonal allergies so every night we are supposed to give her zyrtec. She must have inherited Jesse's bad allergies!! Poor girl! It was an easy appoint, no pokes or anything. A couple of weeks ago, we took Mae to an eye specialist because her left eye has been going a little crazy. She was diagnosed with Brown's Syndrome. Here is a picture of an example of brown's sydrome.

These are some extreme cases, but Maelee's left eye does this in a very mild way. We are just supposed to watch it and see how it goes, if it gets worse over time, then surgery will most likely be needed to correct it. Let's pray that doesn't happen. Maelee isn't a huge fan of going to the doctor. She did really well at the eye doctor though. I was so proud of her, she is much braver then me!

Maelee's Schedule:

Wake up at 8:30-9:00am

Eat breakfast
