Happy Halloween!

We were so excited for Halloween this year!! We had been talking about it SO much all month Maelee could not wait for the night when we got to go trick-or-treating. I asked Maelee what she wanted to be for Halloween this year and she would always tell me either Princess Sophia, or a pirate. So I searched for costumes for both. I could not find a Princess Sophia costume that I loved and one day we were looking online at all the costumes and I showed her the pirate ones and she helped me pick out the one she liked. So a pirate she was! She liked to play the part and would always say, "Argh matey, we're off the find the treasure!!"

Probably the most beautiful pirate I have ever laid my eyes on!

Alyx and I got together a couple of weeks before Halloween to get some pictures of the girls so we could give a card to the grandparents. Let me tell you, it is not easy to get a picture of a two year old and a new baby!! I think it turned out cute though. At least we had a fun day, hanging out and taking pictures!

In the morning, Maelee and I drove to Layton to get some Krisy Kremes along with everyone else in the world! Maelee loved watching the donut machine and especially loved her free donut that she got to enjoy on the way home. :)
Then we stopped for some lunch with Hollie and then home for a nap to get ready for the big night!

First, we made the rounds to some family, Nana and Papa's house, then Grandma and Grandpa's and then went to my mom's for dinner.

 Trick-or- Treat Nana and Papa!
Maelee got all kinds of goodies! She got a haunted house box that was full of things. To this day, she has to sleep with it. She also got a little pirate stuffed animal that she HAD to take trick or treating with her!
Aunt Joey also got Mae lots of goodies and some balloons which are her favorite!

We ate pizza at my mom's and hung out a bit before we went trick-or-treating...

We trick-or-treated in our neighborhood this year!
It was so fun! I have never seen so many little kids in my life!

She really likes these little suckers. She couldn't wait to get home to have one. This was at the end of the night when we were walking home. Sucker and Pirate pal in hand. That is one happy girl!
Warming up after a cold night out!

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween and got lots of yummy candy!
I know our pantry shelves are over-flowing with candy and goodies!!

I have to say on another note, the day after Halloween we went out with our neighbors and new friends to dinner and then to see Captain Phillips! Such a great show! Everyone should go see it! It was a fun night out with lots of laughs!

I can't believe it's November!
Maelee will be 2 1/2 this month! I am working on an update about my sweet girl, it will be up soon!
